Year Five is the first year of the Upper Key Stage Two and builds upon the knowledge and skills that children have previously acquired and aims to prepare them, by the end of Year Six, for life at secondary school.

Even though the work in Year Five introduces the most complex aspects of the primary curriculum, our aim is to ensure our learners experience an engaging and innovative learning environment to enable all to fulfil their potential.

Our children will experience a broad, rich variety of learning contexts in which to widen and develop their skills throughout the curriculum.
