Our Trip To Earlswood
In June, Year 2 went to Earlswood for a residential visit. We left in the morning from school on the minibus.
When we arrived, we went into our bedrooms. There were four of us in a room on bunk-beds. We had to make our beds up. Then we played outside for free time.
We had lunch then we went for a long walk round the reservoir. It took us ages to get round, but we saw lots of really interesting things. After the walk, we collected firewood ready for the campfire later.
We had a delicious barbecue for tea with strawberries and ice cream for pudding. After dinner, we went to the campfire circle. At the campfire, we sang some songs and toasted marshmallows. They were scrumptious!
At bedtime, we got changed into our pyjamas and then we got into our beds. At ‘midnight’ we had our midnight feast.
In the morning we got up at about 7 o’clock, and we ate our breakfast. We had cereals and a cooked breakfast. At about 11 o’clock we went back to school. We were sad to go back because we wanted to stay longer! We had such a good time, it was the best thing about being in year 2!
