The children (and teachers) in Reception have been getting marvellously messy this week by exploring colour, texture and capacity by making their very own summer slime! This craze has been an engaging interest to them all and it is truly amazing how much vocabulary and how many silly stories can be created by playing with this bizarre creation. Glitter, food colouring and glue were the main ingredients and didn’t fail to stimulate the children’s learning. After writing recipes and making the slime, the children then celebrated their creative ideas by selling the slime in pots at the Lady K Summer Fair. It is safe to say the gooey concoctions were a fantastic success by selling out within the first hour of the fair starting. Well done to all of Reception for being superb slime scientists!
